Jazz trumpeter Lou Colombo tragically died in an auto accident on Saturday, March 3, 2012, outside his daughter's restaurant in Fort Myers, Florida.George A. Borgman wrote a feature article on the great jazzman for The Mississippi Rag in 1995.
Colombo was a staple of the Cape Cod jazz scene since the 1950s. Tony Bennett even sang with his band when he was in the area.
Colombo is survived by his wife, Noelle, six children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
